How to Gain Self Confidence

Posted at   8:04 AM  |  in   therapy

Below are six things you can do to gain Self-Confidence.
Release ALL your Battles and Never Give Up: Most people say it is best to choose your battles. However, the only way to really win any battle is not allowing it to consume you. It really does not matter which one you decide to fight. Start off by let go of negative emotions (fear, doubt, jealousy, or frustrations). You can do this by having silent moments to clear your thoughts. Study your target or the situation you want to overcome.  Take time to learn how you need to position yourself in order to maintain peace.  If you need to speak with someone about it, make sure they will tell you the truth and supportive of you. Write down steps to take that will be honorable, show integrity and maintain humbleness. Take risks, learn from your failures, and not be dismayed or think highly of yourself.

Do TTTSTU (Take Time To Say Thank You): Try to be thankful each day. Each morning, state reasons you are thankful. Use the phrase: I’m thankful _______. Start off by saying things like: I’m thankful I’m alive; I’m thankful that I’m healthy spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically; I’m thankful for the tools I need to help me maintain health in all areas of my life; I’m thankful that I’m loved; I’m thankful that I am blessed in all things; I’m thankful I find success in you God and not into things or people; I’m thankful for my dreams and visions; I’m thankful for peace of mind; I’m thankful my thoughts and words will produce love and compassion instead of  hate and division. You may not always feel like being thankful, but saying what you are thankful for even when you’re not fully in this place vital to ensuring a lifetime of success. Overtime, you will see doors opening up. You may also find your mindset changing, so accept this as a tool and use it to help you transform to your life.

Celebrate with Others
Don’t Underestimate/Overestimate: Never allow your limitations to be a reason for not achieving, but have a realistic assessment of your time, personal hang-ups (mental, emotional, and spiritual) and abilities. Find a volunteer if you honestly can’t afford what you lack. Hire someone to do what you can’t do for yourself. Seek help and find resources to help you get rid of your hang-ups. Never take all the credit for anything. Recognize all that is involved in order to prevent pride from entering your heart.

Develop Unshakeable Determination: If you have determination, you will know your hang-ups are only for a season. Remember you can and will grow and change. You will continue to live and enjoy the ride of life. You will maintain peace and know without a doubt there will be moments of success.

Celebrate Every Victory Like It’s Your 1st with Others: This will allow you to encourage and teach others to believe in themselves and their dreams. Plus, this helps redevelop your mindset for future accomplishments.
