The Key To Spiritual Success

We all have our definition of “life” success and it can be presented in so many different ways. However, spiritual success is very clear and many have not achieved it. Being able to gain the blessings of God, memorize bible verses, have many talents, or being able to believe for others to become healed does not mean we are spiritual strong or successful. The key to have spiritual success is being able to give unconditional love to others, even towards people who hate. Many of you think it is impossible to love everyone this way, because we have been taught to only protect and take care of self, plus protect our love ones at any cost. Many of us are bombards with thoughts designed to make sure we don’t love but neutralize our feelings, which leads to lust, bitterness, jealousy, hatred, envy, division, fear, emptiness/depression, anxieties, and even murder. Instead of thinking of the good in others we can be blind by focusing mostly of the offenses of others. Then we develop or come to the place we can ONLY magnify others’ shortcomings and think badly of everyone we come in contact.

The moment we welcome those thoughts or believe those negative thoughts, we find ourselves saying unkind things about the person. We feed the negative thoughts by discussing it with others, which are the actions that violate the law of love, instead of doing what it takes to forgive and love.

We can either consume a thought or we can reject it. If we consume the thought, we’ll end up talking about it in order to justify lost of a relationship or to encourage others to think negatively. If we reject it, we take the steps to maintain a health relationship, then the negative thoughts dies unborn and we will never act on it.

We have the ability to accept and reject thoughts, so when we find self getting aggravated and thinking negatively about someone or group of people we have to refuse to only zone in on their bad or don’t purposely wait until the person proves out our negative thoughts. Instead, focus on the person’s good or refuse to think negatively by saying  “I will not allow their negative actions or words to develop bitterness or hatred inside of me. I will not talk negatively or entertain conversations that will strengthen my bitterness/hatred, I choose to forgive, love and pray God’s blessings towards her/him.”

Train your mind to only identify things that are good, just, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable, if anything is excellent or praiseworthy think about such things according to Philippians 4:8. Even if you're around situations or others who are the opposite of good; learn to separate the person from their errors. Please know people who are spiritually strong or God’s disciples are identified by how we love one another. Love forces revivals and blot out darkness.

John 13:35 By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.

Ephesians 4:32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

Galatians 5:13 You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love.

Romans 12:10 Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves.

John 13:34 A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.
