Do You Cast Off A Pleasant Shadow?

Posted at   2:19 AM  |  in   Inward Core LIFE Coaching

In this picture you can see my daughter's shadow, right? We all have a shadow, but most of us only pay attention to our physical shadow. Today I will like for you to focus on the shadow you cast as an individual on the people around you. What does your family, your friends, your co-workers, or even your supervisors feel after they leave you? Please know when you walk away from a person, you are not really gone. You deposit a part of you every time you have an interaction. How you act towards others gives off a shadow. Plus the behaviors you present reflects what you believe in and what you want to encourage in other people. It is not just what you say, but how you treat people and what you do with your actions. Yes you have an aroma, but I'm not sure you know what your aroma smell likes. Hopefully, it's a pleasant or savory smell.

Take time today to really look at the shadow you cast. The great thing is you have the power to change the shadow you give off. It maybe easy for some or difficult if you choose to justify your behaviors. Take baby steps, for an example, instead of rejecting others' needs, you do what you can to assist. Instead of cursing someone out when he/she does something wrong to you, express how you feel in ways to insert unity or diminish conflicts. Send cards, just because or bake a cake and give it to your neighbor if you can cook. Try to respond to people how you would like to be treated. If you desire grace or kindness from actions that most would give wrath, purposely give grace or kindness. Think about people in your life who you consider to have a pleasant shadow. Most likely when you leave their presence, you either want to do better or love yourself and others more. Hopefully this little note encourage you to purposely cast off a pleasant shadow!
